Done with E&Y

Ernst & Young.... rated to be the 2nd largest audit firm in the world in terms of revenue earned from audit clients, excluding tax. If included, it would be dethroned by none other that Deloitte Kasim Chan.

That's only the surface. Deep down, its no better than other audit firms. Stressful, long working hours, lousy benefits and political nonesense. With the demise of Arthur Andersan and the subsequent merger (or should it be take over) with E&Y... its no surprise that working with different managers can be streesful enough.

But despite all that, its the experience that counts. And dammit... did I take them home! :) Not just stuck with normal financial audit stuff, I got my hands dirty in bigger (harder) engagements such as Intial Public Offering (IPO) and receivership engagements (not so hard). When I saw my testimonial, I was pleasantly surprised to see a certain degree of variety in my jobs to whom my other co-workers somewhat lacked.

At day end, I got to say my goodbyes and farewells but didn't get a chance to see my boss. So on my way out, I saw him. I shifted to P, got down.... engine running still..... and clamped his hand and thanked him for everything. Dammit... I had to! Bet he was touched :)

Anywayz, moving to KL would be a long and difficult process, but with some patience and luck, I think it should be no problem. PwC here I come!
