Its always good to earn some form of recognition wherever you work. In EY, it was the best dressed fiasco for 2 consecutive years. So, being in PwC should be no exception!
Did the Inter-Department Games (IDG) held a few months earlier to prep us for the Inter Accounting Firm Games (IAFG), which by the way, I never participated even in my EY days (coz the head office can't be bothered about bringing in reps from the regionals). Anywayz, it was a good day for PwC this year as we won for 3 consecutive years thus making IAFG history!
Good to be on the winning team though we won by a slim 3 points ahead of KPMG (the hosts). So what was my result? Although I took part in 5 games (winning only one, 2nd place in the rest) in IDG, I was only picked for 3 games (bowling, tennis and tug of war) for IAFG duty.
Outcome? 1 gold (TOW) and 1 silver (tennis). The shield btw is also for TOW as certain games had a championship trophy aside from the individual medals. Anything else for our efforts? Well, the firm gives us 3 days "firm approved" leave and some money (haven't got it yet, so dunno how much). Moreover, the TOW gets to have FINE DINING at MANDARIN ORIENTAL! Woohooo!
The buffet was supposedly RM80++ per head, but it was well worth it knowing that the Firm picked up the tab too. The food was well varied and tasty. Their chicken teriyaki and curries was especially lovely. As you can tell or not, I was slightly lighter than the rest who sported enormouse appetities. I had my fair share but was no match and ended up almost goin "south". A good time it was....
